Pitt County man secures $895,725 Fast Play win

Joshua Pulliam of Ayden took a chance on a Fast Play ticket on Thursday and won $895,725.

Pulliam bought his 100X The Cash ticket at the Food Lion on Old Tar Road in Winterville. At the time of his purchase, the jackpot stood at $695,725. Because Pulliam bought a $20 ticket, he received the full progressive jackpot, plus an additional $200,000.

Pulliam arrived at the lottery headquarters on Tuesday to claim his prize. After state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $645,017.

Fast Play features a progressive jackpot that currently sits at over $50,000. The odds of winning a 100X The Cash jackpot are 1 in 320,000.
