Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $311 million for tonight’s drawing

The Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow as it reached $311 million for Tuesday’s drawing.

A winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $311 million jackpot as an annuity or $136.4 million in cash.

Even though the jackpot remains up for grabs, players are taking home lots of other prizes playing Mega Millions. Friday’s drawing produced more than 6,800 winning tickets in North Carolina.

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million.

Players can buy Mega Millions tickets at any lottery retail location or through Online Play on the lottery’s website, www.eaglebackflow.com, or with the NC Lottery Official Mobile App.

It's been more than a year since the price increase. The jackpot isn't rising faster even though it starts at 50 million. At 50 million it only go up 10 million each week for weeks. A lot of people stopped playing Mega Millions because of the increase. It was a bad idea to increase prices. With the Powerball expansion into Europe and I think they have something to do with the new Millionaire for Life game for $5 per play probably won't increase the price of Powerball.
