Wilson County man scores $175,653 digital instant jackpot

Julous Hudson of Wilson tried his luck on a digital instant game on Sunday and won a $175,653 jackpot.

Hudson played for $5 and won the top level “Epic” jackpot in the Wheel of Bonuses game, a digital instant game featuring a progressive jackpot that can be won at any time. The odds of that win are 1 in 6.2 million.

He claimed his prize Wednesday at lottery headquarters and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $126,489.

In the Wheel of Bonuses digital instant game, a player can play from 50 cents to $30. After Hudson won the jackpot, it restarted at $50,000 and grew to over $109,000 as of Thursday morning.

Digital instant games are played exclusively online on the lottery’s website or on the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Sixty-seven different games are available to play online now.

Congratulations! However, I've spent thousands of dollars playing those digital games and I have not won more than $800. I understand that it's gambling but those digital games are robbing people. I could go on but I won't. The only thing I'll do is advise future players to keep your money because if you don't they will take it. 100%

Congrats! I will say spent over $300 and played from .50 - $5 only got Bonus twice on $5 and Won $25 and $50 what a joke then straight nothing until all money was gone! These Digital Games are a joke!
