Charlotte mom plans family trip to Disney World after $707,600 win

Jennifer Orbock of Charlotte will take her family on a magical trip after a $1 digital instant play won her a $707,600 jackpot.

“We are taking the kids to Disney World,” she said.

Orbock won the top level “Alakazam” jackpot in the Magic Winnings Vegas game on Thursday. The digital instant game features a progressive jackpot that can be won at any time. The odds of that win were 1 in 64.5 million.

“I always thought I had jackpot DNA,” Orbock laughed.

She claimed her prize Monday at lottery headquarters and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $509,543.

“It’s still just unreal,” Orbock said.

In the Magic Winnings Vegas digital instant game, a player can play from 50 cents to $30. After Orbock won the jackpot, it restarted at $100,000 and has grown to over $127,000 as of Tuesday morning.

Digital instant games are played exclusively online on the lottery’s website or on the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Seventy different games are available to play online now.
