Winston-Salem woman wins $369,896 Cash 5 jackpot

Annette Scott of Winston-Salem took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $369,896 jackpot.

Scott bought her lucky ticket for the Feb. 2 drawing using Online Play. The odds of matching all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

She claimed her prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. After required federal and state tax withholdings, Scott took home $266,367.

Cash 5 is one of six lottery games in North Carolina where players have the option of buying tickets at a retail location or with Online Play through the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App. Monday’s jackpot is $120,000.

Hi, Paul! At this time, Cash 5 Double Play and EZ Match add-ons can only be added at NC Lottery retailers or vending machines. However, we appreciate you letting us know that this is a feature you'd like to see online in the future, and we hope to be able to offer this for players one day!
